Red House is home to Contra Costa County's best original rock, metal and indie music. Our intimate music venue offers killer sound, great lights, and tons of energy. We're proud that
we're one of the few venues that caters to an 'all ages' crowd during our 'prime time' weekend slots, and we're also big fans of teen bands. What's even better is that our in-house booking
and sound engineering team brings at new level of professionalism to delivering local music, making Red House the preferred place to gig.
Red House is more than a music venue - we're also an innovative music school and jam club. That's why we dedicate certain nights to the bands of Red House members, and to the final
performances of our 'Band Foundry' program. With set lists stacked with the best blues, R&B and classic rock tunes, these nights are always a blast - and a milestone for many of the performers.

booking request - it’s free. Note that Red House no longer accepts booking requests via MySpace messages. Please DO NOT send CDs or physical press kits - they’ll just get
thown away.
Booking Hours. If you'd like to contact us in person or by phone about a gig, please do so during our booking hours - Tuesday (5-7pm) and Saturday (4-6pm). Please don't call or visit
before you've submitted a booking request on iBooker.
Booking Hours. If you’ve got a question about booking, please contact us via email at booking@redhouselive.com.
Booking Criteria. Red House has two primary booking criteria: 1) be easy to work with, and 2) draw a lot of people! If you'd like to play here, convince us of your ability to
mobilize your fans to come see you, and do so in a professional manner. It's usually most convincing if a group of bands presents a complete play bill for the show. Red House membership is
not required for booking. Bands that are rude to the staff, fail to comply with directions from our engineering staff, or are late/no-show for a gig seriously jeopardize future booking
opportunities.
Proximate Bookings. The best way to draw well is not to overplay your audience. We like bands that are not playing in the 925 area code within at least a month of their Red House show.
Revenue Sharing. Red House works on a 'revenue-sharing'/'co-promotion' philosophy. We allocate a percentage of the ticket sales to the performers, and then distribute it based on audience
draw. All formulas are included in our contract, and are quantified and auditable, so that there’s no mystery behind your payment. We do not offer guarantees or fixed payments to bands.
It's All in Writing. If order to be booked at Red House, you must agree to our booking terms at the time you accept the show offer. It's important to us that there's zero
miscommunications or misperceptions about how the venue works - that's why we document it all in advance. If you haven't agreed to the terms, you're not booked.
Audience Information
Cover Charge. Red House shows are typically $10, although the price sometimes changes. Tickets are available at the door.
Show Times. With rare exception, Red House shows start at 7:30pm and conclude between 10:30-11:00pm. We ask that all patrons clear the venue and parking lot within 20 minutes of the
last music set.
Food at The Whammy Bar. Red House's food service is open during shows, so come hungry. Click here to check out the menu.
Beer, Wine & Other Alcohol. Red House is licensed to sell beer & wine, although beer & wine is not available during ‘High School Band Fests’ or other shows targeted at under age
patrons. Alcohol not purchased at Red House is not allowed in the venue, and no alcohol is allowed in the parking area.
No Hardcore Dancing. Red House does not allow ‘Hard Core’ dancing, such as swinging fists, swinging elbows and high kicks. We also do not allow crowd surfing or stage diving.
Ins & Outs / Parking Lot Noise. Red House is located directly across the street from an apartment complex, and therefore we need to keep parking lot noise down. For that reason, we
have a 'no ins & outs' policy and do not allow any "tailgating" or loud disturbances in the parking lot.
Smoking and Drugs. Red House and its surrounding parking lots are smoke-free and drug-free areas. Smokers are NOT exempt from the no-ins-and-outs policy, and are only allowed to smoke
in the prescribed smoking area.
