Red House extends its collaboration with Guitars Not Guns through a series of charity fund raisers at our Songwriter's Cafes and Member's Blues Shows. The events have yielded several thousand dollars for the charity's guitar programs.

In a new twist on high school rivalry and band rivalry, Red House collaborated with the City of Walnut Creek on the first annual Los Lomas versus Northgate battle of the bands. The Broncos emerged victorious, with One Dollar Riot, Playground Authority and Blind Impression leading the charge.

songwriters cafe Thanks to the imagination and emcee skills of Tubes guitarist and songwriter Bill Spooner, the 'Songwriter's Cafe' is launched! Inspired by the 'in-the-round' format used in Nashville, the semi-monthly event features up to six singer-songwriters.

Continuing its support for local schools, Red House donated its venue to Parkmead Elementary for its annual 'Blues & Brews' fundraiser, which this year pulled in over $7,500. The Dick Weyand Band performed.

Red House continued its support of the Lafayette Art & Wine Festival by donating the sound equipment, and coordinating the bands, for the Kid's Zone stage. We brought out instruments for festival goers to try out, and gave local teens an opportunity to perform at a premier festival.

The CD was released at the Walnut Carnival through a free concert by The Federalists, Red Horizon, Cold Hot Crash, Now We Are Six and Route 111. rock the plaza Red House collaborates with the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce to deliver 10+ hours of free outdoor concerts. 'Rock The Plaza' featured Stone Soup, Damn Handsome and the Birthday Suits, the Delta Dogs and The Inflatable, all powered by Red House's sound system.

On December 1st, Red House officially opened its doors to the public! A craigslist ad for our first blues jam hit the web about 2pm, just as the building inspector signed off on our occupancy permit. About 20 Blues man showed up, and we signed up our first 3 members.

September 2005
Red House was introduced to the community through our booths at the Lafayette Art & Wine Festival and the Walnut Carnival. We began our relationships with the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and the Walnut Festival Committee, both of which continue to thrive.

Founder Raja Singh resigns his position as a Group Director at Siebel Systems to start Red House. By July, Red House had selected its location at 1667 Botelho Drive and been approved by the City of Walnut Creek. The journey begins!
