BASIC PROTOOLS OPERATIONS
Set-up ProTools to track and mix your songs, including setting up monitor mixes.
SIGNAL PATH AND GAIN STRUCTURE
Understand the basics of signal path and gain, including the use of pre-amps, compressors and equalization.
MICROPHONE TECHNIQUES
Understand the different types of microphones, their optimal applications and the correct placement.
MIDI BASICS
We'll introduce the basics of MIDI, and discuss how to integrate virtual instruments into your compositions. Learn to add tasteful pad and synthesized instruments to your mix by understanding the parameters that define the sounds.

MONSTER DRUMS
Modern percussion isn't as simple as sticks on heads. You'll learn how to tighten up drums tracks, replace the sounds and even create re-mixes and loops.
MIXING APPROACHES
Understand compression, EQ, frequency ranges and all the techniques for making each part cut through. Plus, learn to automate your mix parameters.
MASTERING ESSENTIALS
Understand the role of 'Mastering' in the recording process, and learn how to master your own tracks using buses, reverb, compression and EQ.
