How Are The Band Placements Determined?
Red House Band Foundry operates on a 'Rolling Placement' basis. Musicians will be placed in a group of up to 8 musicians of similar ages, skills and musical interests.
When Are the Rehearsals?
Each Band Foundry group will rehearse for 1.5 hours each week. Rehearsal times vary by placement group, and are determined at the time of placement.
How Often Are The Gigs?
Red House schedules gigs for Band Foundry groups every 2-3 months. The band determines the length of the show and the set list.
What Should I Bring?
Guitarists and bassists must have their own instruments. All musicians must supply their own accessories (picks, sticks, strings, etc...), most of which are available for sale at Red House at competitive prices. Red House provides all other equipment, including keyboards, drums and PA systems.

How Much Does It Cost?
$99 for Four 90 minute rehearsal sessions, plus participation in the gigs. In addition, a one-time fee of $50 is required at the time you request placement, which is refundable if Red House is unable to offer you a placement within 30 days.
How Do I Pay?
Fees are payable on a rolling basis by cash, check or credit card. Session fees are payable regardless of attendance. Accounts must be current to maintain placement in a certain group. Participants may cancel at any time, although prior fees are non-refundable.
Am I a Good enough Musician for Band Foundry?
Band Foundry is designed for advanced beginner through intermediate musicians of all ages. Musicians should be able to play complete songs at consistent tempos. Solo'ing or improvisation skills are not required. You are NOT required to read standard music notation.

What if I'm substantially better (or worse) than the other musicians?
Red House attempts to place players of similar skills in the same bands, and also attempts to accommodate a wide variety of skill levels. For beginning players, the instructor will often devise a simplified part for their instrument. Advanced players are challenged to play the solos, and act as the on-stage leader. Just like developing a sports team, accomplished players will mentor the rookies and the play book will be adjusted to fit the strengths and weaknesses of the players.
What Songs Will The Band Play?
The musicians in the group ultimately determine the band's set list, but Red House instructors will always have a working set of songs available if the band doesn't have strong preferences. If you have specific genre/style interests, please let us know prior to placement.
